Kimberly Clemons, Founder/Executive Director

​

KIMBERLY CLEMONS is a Licensed & Ordained Minister, DPD Chaplain, and serves under the leadership of Pastor Solomon Kinloch, Jr. at Triumph Church in the Youth Ministry. She served with  Governor's Task Fore on Child Abuse and Neglect (GTFCAN), AmeriCorps Domestic Violence Advocate for Survivors, and she was selected as an Emerging Leader with the Emerging Leaders Cohort with the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV). She is a graduate of Grace College Theological and Seminary, Winona Lake, Indiana, with an Associates of Arts in Biblical Studies and Bachelors of Science in Human Services, and she is a graduate of Detroit Bible Institute (DBI). Kimberly is committed to serving youth, especially youth who have experienced trauma and live in under-served areas.

 

Kimberly believes in self-care and loves to pamper girls/women. She is a licensed cosmetologist and owner of Pamper Me Pretty "Inside & Out" Beauty Parlor, and The Girls Factory Glam & Boutique.  Kimberly is married to Randall (23 yrs) and together they have two children, Jordan and Xavier. 

Nicole Goodson, President/Board Chair

 

NICOLE GOODSON graduated from the University of Detroit in 1994 and was awarded a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1997.  She began her career as a Staff Attorney with UAW Legal Services litigating cases involving real estate transactions, consumer law, and probate matters.  In 1999 Attorney Goodson joined Legal Aid & Defender Association, Inc. (LAD) representing low income residents of Wayne County in housing, consumers, real estate, and debt collection matters.  From 2005 – 2009 Attorney Goodson joined the Bingham Law Group, PLLC as a partner representing financial corporations in real estate matters, bankruptcy, and other consumer related matters.  In 2009, she rejoined LAD to pursue to her passion for serving the undeserved and often overlooked low income residents of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County.  She worked as a litigator initially upon her return and then began serving as the Manager of LAD’s Intake Unit where more than 10,000 residents were provided free legal assistance during her tenure.  In 2015, she was promoted to Litigation Director at LAD and was responsible for the overall management of LAD’s litigation department for the Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb offices.  In May of 2017 she was named Chief Counsel/COO for LAD and is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of LAD. In March of 2019 she became the President & CEO of LAD. 

 

Nicole Goodson serves as a current board member for SASHA Center (Sexual Assault Services for Holistic Healing and Awareness), a former board member of Young Life Detroit and Serenity Services, Inc. a Detroit non-profit agency promotes social change and justice working towards the elimination of domestic/sexual violence. She currently serves a board member for CORT, a regional board that develops the training curriculum for the legal services programs in Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Lisa Green, Fundraiser Chair

 

LISA GREEN is a Founding Member Ambassador Counseling & Resource Group.  She is a well respected Licensed Professional Counselor, with entrepreneurial experience.  Ms. Green has served as an Adjunct Professor and Counselor College at Baker College and Henry Ford Community College. She has taught courses in the disciplines of psychology, human services, college success and sociology.  Lisa’s commitment to empowering families to achieve their best quality of live has echoed in her work with single mothers and multi-problem clients.  She has a vested interest education and community service, serving as a Board Member of Trillium Academy and The Downriver YMCA. She is a program facilitator and researcher for the The Safer Tomorrows: Injury Prevention and Violence Reduction Project and has been recognized and published internationally.

She has acquired years of valuable experience as a mental health practitioner, and as an educator.  Her dedication and commitment to assisting clients and students to develop a stronger sense of purpose allows her to remain a gem in the field of counseling and education.  Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. She is in the process of pursuing her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology and is a member of ACA, MCA, NASW, and other professional associations. She is a founding member and Board Certified Human Services Practitioner. In her spare time, she leads her Mary Kay Cosmetics team as a Senior Consultant.

Lisa has been raised in the church and saved at an early age. She currently receives her spiritual guidance as a member of Kingdom International Church of God in Christ, under the Leadership of Bishop Michael E. Hill Sr. and First Lady Pearl Hill. Lisa has been appointed the official Counseling Director of Kingdom Internationals Christian Counseling & Resource Center. As a part of the ministry, Lisa integrates her spiritual gifts and teaching skills by delivering motivational presentations and confidential Christian Counseling, thus blessing the body of Christ.

Mishana Green, Secretary

MISHANA GREEN is a rising Higher Education professional who has a true passion for helping youth through guidance and mentoring. She is a dedicated Admissions Counselor at The University of Michigan-Dearborn and happily serves her community as a theatre arts coach at the Downriver Actors Guild. She is a product of the Pamper me Pretty: Inside and Out initiative that was spearheaded by Kimberly Clemons in 2007 and learned some vital life lessons about loving yourself and loving God. Mishana is a college graduate, a mother of one and a work in progress as she plans to pursue a Masters Degree and take up Life Coaching. She is so excited to work with the Girls Factory and share her story and love for God.

Janine Folks, Vice President/VP Chair

JANINE FOLKS is born and raised in SE Michigan, Metro Detroit/Downriver area. Attended River Rouge Public Schools and Graduated from University of Michigan/Dearborn. Proud mother of three adult children and soon to be a proud grandmother.  Currently works as a Licensed Benefit Advisor as a Broker who helps Medicare Beneficiaries shop for and select adequate medical insurance coverage. Licensed in 39 States. Janine also has extensive experience working at a Hospice Chaplain and grief counselor. Licensed in 2004 and Ordained in 2010 to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Janine also loves to write, roller skate, dance, shop, be at home and spend time with family. Janine now resides in Dallas, TX but remains close to family and friends in Detroit, MI.
